Vol. 5 No. 2 (2026)
This issue of the Jurnal Rekayasa Lampung (JRL) Volume 5 Number 2, April 2026, presents a diverse collection of applied engineering and technology research. In the field of earth sciences and exploration, one study provides a qualitative interpretation of lithology and coal seams using gamma-ray and density log data in the West Banko mining area. Complementing this subsurface analysis, another research utilizes geoelectrical methods to characterize underground conditions, aiming to support and optimize regional infrastructure planning. In the realm of urban and transportation engineering, this issue features an evaluation of public open spaces as a strategic instrument for disaster mitigation in urban areas. Additionally, a comprehensive transportation study investigates railway passenger preferences, specifically analyzing their ability to pay and willingness to pay for regional train services. Furthermore, the journal highlights advancements in material engineering and information technology. A material science study examines the effects of varying glycerol and iota carrageenan ratios on the physical and chemical properties of Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC)-based capsule shells. Finally, an information technology research evaluates usability and user interface design to enhance user experience on a national academic platform, utilizing a heuristic evaluation approach and the Lean UX method based on ISO 13407 standards.
