We are pleased to present the latest edition of our journal, Volume 5, Number 1, which features a diverse and high-quality collection of research articles spanning software engineering, computer vision, civil engineering, and remote sensing. This issue highlights innovative technical methodologies and empirical studies that contribute to both theoretical advancements and practical applications in engineering and applied sciences. The articles presented include a study on the digitalization of the SIM KIP Kuliah website at LLDIKTI II using the Laravel framework and Kanban method, and a comprehensive evaluation of CNN model performance for dogfruit plant classification. Furthermore, this edition covers research on the correlation between the compressive and flexural strengths of concrete influenced by cement type and admixtures, an investigation into the relationship between the surface area of the Anak Krakatau volcano and seismic amplitude records from 2018–2019, and a study on fabric type classification based on texture feature extraction using the Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrices method.
